Good manufacturing practice (GMP) documents
ISO 22716, often cited in cosmetics, is a standard offering guidelines for the production, control, storage and shipment of products. The standard focuses on product quality and does not address worker safety or environmental protection. Article 8 of the EU Cosmetics Regulation also refers to good manufacturing practice. A company’s reference to this standard does not mean every product has a given outcome; the document scope must be checked separately.
The generalization mistake
Treating a document issued for one product or line as valid for all of a company’s products is a common mistake. Whatever scope the document states is what applies.
Information you can ask the manufacturer for
- A current copy of the document
- A scope description
- The issuing body’s verification method
- Which facility or process the document covers
You can reach the document images shared by ARK İlaç ve Kozmetik on our Documents page and request scope information from us.

Frequently asked questions
Is a document image sufficient evidence?
Not on its own; scope, date and body verification are also needed.
Could a document have expired?
Yes; check the validity date and ask for a current copy.
Are all products within the document’s scope?
Whatever scope the document states applies; do not generalize.
